Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill Set for Vote

Updated: Jan 12, 2023

The Senate is scheduled to vote on the bipartisan infrastructure bill on Wednesday. This is stimulus money in addition to the normal reauthorization bills we’ve reported on, including $55 billion for water infrastructure, $65 billion for broadband, $21 billion for environmental remediation, and $73 billion for power infrastructure. Some positive developments include the removal of enhanced IRS enforcement as a way to pay for the spending, as well as the continued presence of the private activity bond language that NUCA NJ has been working to include. As of today, the bill has yet to be finished, causing many Senators to balk at the vote timeline. However, there still seems to be the votes needed for passage should the timing and political stresses not derail the legislation this week. We will continue to keep you updated.
