NUCA's lobbying efforts to restore $2 billion in federal water funding has resulted in a huge victory! Beginning with our New Jersey delegation visit last May, continuing with outreach throughout the remainder of 2023, and culminating with our Executive Director's visit to the Hill in January, our Association has never taken the pressure off Congress. As a result of collective action by NUCA chapters and our National staff, the devastating cuts have been averted and the funding heading to New Jersey and other states to pay for public projects will be restored to the previous year's level. We have already begun fighting for an increase to this funding for next year.
